Mountaineer Village is a 192 unit, 576 bed student housing property built in 2003 which serves the student population of Appalachian State, a rapidly growing state-supported university. Currently there are 16,766 students enrolled at the main campus, yet on-campus housing can only accommodate 5,500 students forcing over 11,250 to see some form of off-campus housing. Within the town of Boone, NC there are only 6 prominent apartment communities that collectively house only 2,500 students. Mountaineer Village is one of these fully amenitized "super communities" which provide a "college feel" atmosphere to residents. These properties largely remain 100% occupied each year and are pre-leased months in advance.
